MEETING MODE
What you finished and what you shipped, in the same date range.

Your tasks show what you planned.

Your commits fill in what actually happened. Meeting Mode puts both into an update you can review and copy before a standup, weekly review, or client call.

THE DAILY LOOP

Three places. Clear meaning.

Tasks move through iDid at your pace. Finishing something does not make it vanish.

01

Tasks At Hand

The work you are doing now. Keep it visible in the main window or open it by itself in Minimal Mode.

02

Completed

Finished tasks stay visible until you have reviewed them. Reopen one if it needs more work.

03

Archive

Move reviewed work into a dated batch. Search it later without changing what was recorded.

BACKLOG

Not working on it now? Move it to the Backlog. Bring it back to Tasks At Hand when it becomes current.

Completed, Tasks At Hand, and Backlog in one working view.

USEFUL STRUCTURE

Spaces separate. Groups organize.

Use as much structure as you need. Ignore it when you do not.

SPACE

A clean boundary.

Each Space keeps its own tasks, Groups, completed work, and archive. Use separate Spaces for areas that should not share a list.

GROUP

Related work together.

Groups collect related tasks inside a Space. They stay useful across Tasks At Hand, Completed, Meeting Mode, and Archive.

TASK HIERARCHY

Break work down without turning it into a project plan.

Indent tasks into subtasks, outdent them again, and reorder the structure directly from the list.

MINIMAL MODE

Keep only current work open.

Open Tasks At Hand in a smaller window. Switch Spaces, use Groups, finish tasks, and keep the rest of the app out of view.

  • Separate compact window
  • Current work only
  • Made to stay open

MEETING MODE

Your work,
ready for the meeting.

ONE WORK LOG

Tasks and commits, together.

Choose a date range and see completed work beside commits from your local repositories. Filter the result, then copy a clean Markdown update.

ARCHIVE

Archive what you reviewed.

Archive completed tasks as a batch with an optional note. The completion period, Groups, task hierarchy, and history stay together.

COMPLETEDDone, but still part of the current review.
ARCHIVEDReviewed and saved as part of the record.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your work stays on your Mac.

Apple notarizedEvery release is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple.

Read-only GitiDid reads local commit history with Git. It never writes to your repositories or uploads their contents.

Local filesTasks, Groups, Spaces, Archive records, and backups are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/idid/.

No app accountThe app makes no network requests. Tasks, settings, and repository details remain in local files on your Mac.

Backup and recoveryAutomatic daily backups, manual export and restore, and clear warnings when changes cannot be saved.

PRICING

Free. That’s the whole section.
